Institute for Leadership Advancement

The pursuit of a certificate in Personal and Organizational Leadership focused on leadership development through academic courses and hands-on service learning.

This year-long Leadership Fellows program offered me the opportunity to fine-tune my career planning skills and assess my personality, strengths and core values to achieve self-awareness — a key piece in identifying leadership capabilities. Leadership in organizational settings was taught and applied in a service-learning project. My team and I were tasked with developing a comprehensive communication strategy for the Let All The Big Dawgs Eat Scholarship.

More about my service learning project.

Accepted to the ILA Leadership Fellows Program

Inaugural Spring Fellow in a highly selective leadership program designed to enhance leadership capabilities and knowledge through academic course work community service, team building, and a leadership speaker series resulting in an academic certificate in personal organizational leadership.

Personal Development and Leadership Profile

The PDLP became the center of my development process and the portfolio document that showcases my leadership profile. The goal was to create a meaningful and persuasive personal leadership development portfolio, which will include an action plan based on various online assessments of my personal effectiveness, as well as my completed leadership development assignments, journals, and written work.

Service Learning Project: Let All The Big Dawgs Eat Scholarship

My team and I were tasked with developing a comprehensive communication strategy for Let All The Big Dawgs Eat Scholarship. The plan focused on raising more awareness about food insecurity at UGA and across the nation. Our deliverables included a redesign of the website, the passing of a proclamation with UGA’s Student Government Association, a collection of photographs, and a strategy for increasing online awareness.
